Meet the LaVESTA 2023/24 Volunteer of the Year! Richard Spenard led ALL the organized trail maintenance days on the North Trails. When not doing trail maintenance in El Sargento, Richard bikes with his dog Gypsie early in the morning, and kites for long sessions in the bay. Richard also has a full trail system named after him in Quebec. There he built mountain bike trails on land he owned and kept open to the public. In his previous life Richard was a successful race car driver – he still has a taste for speed, but nowadays with different mediums.
