Bringing the Trails to Local Kids and Parents:
LaVESTA works with the local schools to provide guided hiking trips and mountain bike classes throughout the year.
A “Bike Library” was established to provide local kids with access to quality bikes and helmets during their classes. Stryder bikes are given to the schools to give the younger kids a head start. Many of the kids who participate have never been on the trails or a mountain bike before.
We strongly believe that introducing the local youth to the incredible resources in their backyard is critical to preserving our trails.
